Rivne city hosted a Youth Congress, receiving about 700 young people. The topic of the event was “The most effective gospel is love”. There was a wonderful opportunity to greet the winners of the contest “Volunteer of the year” at presence of such a large number of Christian and hand them thank-you letters.
In Volodymyr-Volynsky there was held a camp for 50 orphan teens. They could hear the lectures “Straight about…”, participated in sport events and had personal communication.
In April 7-9 in Irpin the New Hope Ukraine organized a final seminar “Getting ready to get married” with main speaker David R. Sanford. 5 families which were trained and have learned how now to start the marital counseling in their own churches received the certificates of trainers. We are happy that in 15 years of such trainings and seminars many churches have now premarital ministry and that the issue of family ministry become important and relevant in Ukrainian churches. In March, on the bases of training in Rivne, we have prepared 15 people from 7 churches for work at public schools. Besides regular topics, there were presented new urgent topics (subcultures, arts and communication).
In cooperation with churches of Ostrig there was held an all-Ukrainian conference “Young Bible Expert”. The conference was hosted by Ostrig Academy. 320 children from all over Ukraine participated in the contest. New Hope Ukraine made a gift for every teacher of Christian Ethics, distributing 50 set of books “Footsteps of faith” between teachers and 200 books of “Life of Jesus” between children who participated in the contest.
