In April 27, 2012 the regional conference”Lviv region without orphans” took placein Lviv. The representatives of Lviv and regional administrations participated there.The different representatives of Christian faith and social organizations were present,all united by the striving for helping orphans.
“New Hope” took part in preparation andleading the conference as one of the key directions of its work is placing the orphans inthe loving Christian families and then caring about the foster/adoptive families.Most speakers called for consolidation the efforts to solve the orphan problems.And the representatives of the regional and local administration shared the generalpreoccupation by the following problem.Lots of speakers shared about the problems they face when adopting and directlyin the upbringing process. These were Igor Nevolko and Viktor Pelyk who themselvesare the foster parents adopted many children with the support of “New Hope”; thepriest Myhaylo Konyk, ’’New Hope’’ director Stepan Matvijiv, the director of the “Grace”orphanage Lubomyr Zabolotnyj and others.The results of the conference were analyzed by the meeting of the workinggroup, which has worked out the concrete steps to coordinate the efforts of all themembers of the alliance in Lviv region.
